Dentist too expensive?

Ok, I just visited a dentist and was quite bum at what I heard. I had to get deep cleaning and fix the decay in my front tooth which costed me $350.

Than my dentist told me I have two major problems. The two teeth I had root canal done has decays and two minor problems where it can be easily fixed by filling. Now the dentist told me it is going to cost me $2000 to get all fixed up. Now is this expensive or decent price? I have talked to my sister and she said it might be a little expensive. I really need a opinion on this since I do not want to get ripped off. Thank you in advance

Dentist too expensive?
Yes, that is quite a normal price. You should shop around.

Also, look into becoming an eHealthPlus member, it could

save you a lot on fillings and root canal.
Reply:Whoa dude you are getting ripped off!!!! Switch dentist!!!
Reply:Obviously you don't have dental insurance, neither do I. I suspose you could shop around. Or check if your work offers a medical soending plan that they deduct money from your check for things like this. Obviously the alternative is do nothing and it will prob get worst
Reply:I think you are saying that you have had root canal treatment in the past on two teeth and the treatment failed. Now they both need to be redone. That is, remove the old root canal fillings, clean the canals and refill. If this is done successfully, which is often difficult, both teeth would then have to be capped (crowned). If all I have stated, is the treatment plan, then the $2000.00 fee is fair.
