I was talking to a friend and i mentioned to him that I was going to the dentist, but I was going home first to brush my teeth then he asked me why am I going home to brush my teeth if I'm going to the dentist. supposively he doesnt brush before going to the dentist "GROSH" I do. How many of you feel that going to the dentist with a clean mouth is a better choice and if you agree with my friend why?
Going to the dentist....?
i brush my teeth before i go b/c i don't want to be embarassed by me breath and have the dentist look at me weird...lol %26lt;3
Reply:i brush always bring my tooth brush and brush my teeth at the dentist before, however, my dentist says it doesnt matter, unless its like oreos or something, and that sometimes they have patients eat oreos purposly before going to a certain nurse, just to annoy the nurse. i brush before, and so does the rest of my family.
Reply:i brush before. just something ive always done.
Reply:Suprisingly, many people do not brush their teeth before they come. I prefer brushed teeth b/c it means less picking/work for me. However, many parents no longer teach these kinds of things along with other morales and values that should be taught.
Reply:You'd be surprised the amount of people who dont brush their teeth before coming to visit us and after many years it still makes my stomach churn.
Cleaning the teeth before in my opinion is a must, there is nothing worse than checking the teeth and taking an xray only to find a lump of something green and sinister sitting on the xray film packet, YUCK!!!!!
It all boils down to dental etiquette, some people dont clean before hand as they normally get them cleaned by the dentist and feel it's a waste of time, the thing that never ceases to amaze me is the people who munch on a bar of chocolate before an appointment, claim to never eat sweets and then scream blue murder when a cavity is discovered, Utterly Priceless!
Reply:I understand your concern. My dentist actually makes all patients brush their teeth before being seen. I love that because if I don't have time to go home and brush first I can do it before I see him anyway.
Reply:it is definitely gross to see chunks of food on someones teeth...
you should at least swish and spit before going
