Dentist question for all dentist?

im thinking about being a dentist. if its not to much troubke whats the normal day of a dentist or dental hygeinist

Dentist question for all dentist?
One of the good things about being a private practicing dentist is you can set your own hours. So, some work traditional 8-5 days, 5 days a week, but many alter those schedules. Some work hours more available to the public, like evening hours, early morning hours, Saturday hours. But, whatever the schedule, dentists live by their appointment book. A very busy dentist will start in the morning and see one patient after another all day. Working in a very small space of the month, and doing highly technical and precise procedures, can be very tiring by the end of the day. Even after the dentistry is performed, most private dentists also have many administrative chores like hiring and overseeing their staff, dealing with insurance companies for patients, answering correspondence, etc. It's a great occupation, and can be very rewarding.
Reply:i would go ahead and do dentistry if you are really interested. school is not hard to go through but its very demanding especially the first 2 years.

Being a dentist gives you the freedom of setting your own work days and hours and over that you become your own boss ( that's an advantage to me)

you could be making a huge amount of money but that also depends on the area your going to practice in. i know a dentist that makes a net profit of $450K a year and he's in his mid 30's.

I'm a dental student myself and loving it, i got offers of $100K a year as soon as i graduate which is really good, and that amount would increase every year and even more when you have your own practice.

hope i've been of help and good luck
